SUNSET EXTENDED FAMILY SESSION IN SARASOTA | BACKYARD PORTRAITS
When the Lantz family invited me to photograph their extended family session in their own backyard, I knew we were about to create something truly meaningful. The evening light filtered through the trees, and laughter echoed across the yard as their kids, first grandkid, and spouses gathered together, relaxed and fully present.
As a Sarasota family photographer, these sessions hold a special place in my heart. There’s something powerful about photographing multiple generations together; parents, grown children, in-laws, grandkids ..... all in one frame. It’s not about perfection; it’s about connection. These images become heirlooms, full of laughter, hugs, and candid joy. We kept things simple and natural, just as family time should be. The sunset gave us that beautiful golden glow, and their backyard gave us all the comfort of home. There were quiet in-between moments, joyful chaos, and the kind of genuine love that only happens when you're surrounded by your people.
