When Matt contacted me about photographing a surprise proposal on the shores of Siesta Key, I knew it would be something special. Despite the chilly breeze that evening, the golden sunset and the sound of Gulf waves created the perfect setting. As he dropped to one knee, she said yes, and the moment was pure magic as they were surrounded by family.
As a Siesta Key photographer, there’s nothing quite like capturing an unrepeatable moment like this. That look of shock, joy, and love all in one frame. It’s the kind of emotion you can’t recreate, and I feel honored every time I get to freeze it in time.
We chose a quiet stretch near beach access #7 .... a favorite of mine for its soft light and fewer crowds. If you’re thinking of popping the question in Sarasota, this is one of the most romantic spots at sunset.
